DUBAI: The Passport Index has released its annual Global Passport Power Rank for 2018. Each year the Passport Index compares the passports of 193 countries and ranks them by how many other countries a passport holder can get into without a visa, or with only a visa upon arrival.

Here, we present to you the Top 10 most powerful passports of the world:

1. United Arab Emirates

The No. 1 passport on this year’s list of the ranking is United Arab Emirates. It got a score of 167 and its passport holders can access 167 countries around the world with no need for a visa.

2. Singapore

With a score of 166, Singapore has the second most powerful passport in the world. Its citizens get visa-free travel to 127 countries. There are 39 countries where holders of a Singapore passport require a visa on arrival.

3. Germany

Sharing the score of 166 with Singapore, Germany takes the third place in our listing of the top 10 most powerful passports in the world. German citizens can visit 126 countries without requiring a visa. Germans get visa on arrival 40 in countries.

4. Denmark

Denmark has scored 165 in the ranking. Its citizens can travel to 126 countries without requiring a visa. Another 39 countries issue visa on arrival.

5. Sweden

Sweden shares the same score of 165 in the ranking with Denmark. Its citizens can travel to 126 countries without requiring a visa. Another 39 countries issue visa on arrival. In our listing of the top 10 most powerful passports in the world, it takes the fifth spot.

6. Finland

Just like Sweden and Denmark, Finland also scored 165 in the ranking. Its citizens can travel to 126 countries without requiring a visa and another 39 countries issue visa on arrival. In our listing of the top 10 most powerful passports in the world, it takes the sixth spot.

7. Luxembourg 

Luxembourg has also received a score of 165 in the ranking similar to Denmark, Sweden and Finland. Its citizens can travel to 126 countries without requiring a visa. 8. France
